Dedicated to the memory of Susan Ford

Born in Bath in 1955 and passed away at Dorothy House Hospice Care on the 42nd Anniversary of her wedding to Steve. She leaves sons Ian and Simon who she was so proud of as being kind, gentle and thoughtful people. She always put others before herself and was a truly wonderful lady who eventually had to concede defeat to cancer after a determined hard fought 7 year battle.

She will be greatly missed and will always remain in our thoughts.

Thoughts

After moving next door 16 years ago we became friends with Sue and Steve. We enjoyed many conversations in the garden, seeking advice on the best things to plant. Sue loved her pastel shades compared to our rainbow colours! Sue’s garden was always immaculate and looked a picture even in the winter. Sue was at her happiest pottering around in her garden or planning her next home improvement as those who knew her will have witnessed. We spent many Christmas Eve’s with Sue, Steve and our Mum’s and many other occasions enjoying a drink together and putting the world’s to right. We will miss you, Sue. Love Paul and Trace

Sue and I met at the local toddler group, and we instantly got on forming a lasting friendship for thirty-four years. Over the years Sue was kind, caring, and supportive and we enjoyed days out together either having some retail therapy or going to National Trust properties her favourite was Stourhead. Sue had a positive can-do attitude which was with her to the end, I will miss her company and lovely smile.

We have been next door neighbours to Sue and Steve for 30 odd years and can honestly say it’s been a pleasure to have them as neighbours. Sue was always out in the garden tending to her plants and flowers, I think this was when she was happiest as she truly loved her garden. We would always talk over the fence about anything and everything! Sue was a lovely person and will be greatly missed by us both. Rest in peace Sue, Love Brendan and Marlene.
