My Lovely Sister Sue
My memories stretch back to when we were young children playing outside chasing each other around the garden, wearing cowboy hats and firing our cap guns, when the noisy caps ran out, we just had to shout bang bang! Sometimes we could be quiet and sit and make new clothes for our dolls. Give us a large cardboard box and we would make something with it to play a new game. Once we decided to make a Space Ship console, a foretaste maybe, of future interests!
As adults, we had to get on with our own lives, for both of us, working lives and relationships developed over time. It was lovely when Sue and Steve got married and even lovelier later on, when Ian and Simon came along. Luckily, not living far apart we were always able to keep in touch and be a part of each others lives with all the ups and downs that our lives took over the years.
Sue had a strong personality, she was bold, decisive and determined. She gave 100 percent to everything she did. Good qualities. She was also thoughtful, caring, loving and brave. She faced life head on. She was very talented in lots of ways and had many, varied interests, including a love for nature, animals and tending her garden.
I always loved walking around the garden with her, admiring the flowers and discussing how well the plants were growing. I will miss this very much, as I will miss her very much.
She was a brilliant sister and a very lovely person.
